ABOUT RAMS-CC (COMMUNICATION CONTROLLER) V3.00

The RAMS-CC device is an intelligent communication controller that can integrate into all your segregated systems in the field. The RAMS-CC provides various remote connection protocols, such as TCP/IP & GSM. As the RAMS-CC has various communication ports available, it is able to integrate into segregated equipment on site by means of RS232, RS485 & TCP/IP with POE. A number of devices can be connected to the RAMS-CC whereby consolidating all equipment communication ports to a single point. This allows for one point of remote management to many devices at a remote site. The RAMS-CC is designed, developed and manufactured locally and allows Tamashi to customise the RAMS-CC to specific requirements with ease.

APPLICATIONS

The RAMS-CC application would include and enable remote access monitoring to be done of intelligent equipment on remote sites. This equipment would include and is not limited to power rectifiers, UPS’s, diesel generators, fuel cells, AC meters, etc.

The RAMS-CC provides pass-through communication to physical ports that are connected on site, allowing a remote connection from a central server, such as GERM(General equipment remote monitoring) software management platform, to connected devices on site. This allows the user to remotely configure or interrogate connected equipment on site as well as harvest data from such equipment via a remote connection which could be GSM or Ethernet. Operation functions also include access control of 1 zone and is fully integrated into Video Surveillance systems.

ABOUT RAMS-EC/IO (ENVIRONMENTAL & ALARM CONTROLLER) V1.00

The RAMS-EC/IO device is an intelligent site environmental monitoring/control and alarm controller that can integrate into all your segregated systems in the field. The RAMS-EC/IO provides the capability to interface to various alarm outputs from different devices on site and consolidate all the alarm statuses of these devices to one systems. Additional to this the RAMS-EC/IO has analog inputs, relay outputs and RS485 communication ports available. The RAMS-EC/IO can be remotely managed via its TCP/IP port. The RAMS-EC/IO has the capability to integrate to other devices intelligently using the RS485 ports and can be remotely managed using one of these port with a RAMS-CC unit. The RAMS-EC/IO is designed, developed and manufactured locally and allows Tamashi to customize the RAMS-EC/IO to specific requirements with ease.

APPLICATIONS

The RAMS-EC/IO application would include remote monitoring of alarms and control of segregated systems on such remote site. The RAMS-EC/IO will also monitor and control the environment of the remote site by means of active cooling (Aircon control) or free-cooling(DC Ventilation Fan control) by means of monitoring the internal, Aircon, and outdoor temperature. The RAMS-EC/IO has the capability to switch 4 of its relay outputs and this is configurable in the system. The RAMS-EC/IO has Access control function, whereby an Access Reader or Keypad is connected and control up to two locks (zones). All segregated equipment that has alarms outputs can be connected to the RAMS-EC/IO and consolidated on one system and provides a single point of monitoring overview for the remote site. Examples of equipment outputs that can be connected to the RAMS-EC/IO would include and is not limited to power rectifiers, UPS’s, diesel generators, fuel cells, AC meters, security sensors, electric fence, etc. As the RAMS-EC/IO can be managed remotely by TCP/IP connection or RS485 connection, the user will be able to remotely configure

The RAMS-EC is designed, developed and manufactured locally and allows Tamashi to customize the RAMS-EC to specific requirements with ease.

APPLICATIONS

The RAMS-EC application would include remote monitoring and control of the environment of the remote site by monitoring the Room temperature, Aircon temperature and outdoor temperature. The RAMS-EC will control the remote site temperature by means of Active-Cooling (Aircon control) or Passive-Cooling (DC Ventilation Fan control), based on configured set-points on the RAMS-EC. The RAMS-EC has the capacity to monitor and control various configurations such as:

  • Monitor and Control – 1 Room with aircon control for up to 3 Aircons and DC FAN control for up to 3 DC FANS.
  • Monitor and Control – 2 Separate Rooms independently – Room 1, Aircon 1, DC FAN 1 and Room 2, Aircon 2 , DC FAN 2.
  • Monitor and Control – 3 Separate Rooms independently – Room 1, Aircon 1, DC FAN 1 and Room 2, Aircon 2 , DC FAN 2 and Room 3, Aircon 3, DC FAN.

The RAMS-EC has the capability to monitor 4 x Inputs which can monitor door switch, movement sensor, smoke sensor, etc. and has 4 outputs and this is configurable in the system. The 4 outputs are used and connected to the BTS PIX OUTPUTS.

ABOUT RAMS-AC (AIR CONDITIONER CONTROLLER) V1.00

The RAMS-AC device is an AC relay controller which interfaces with the RAMS-EC controller. The RAMS-AC is controlled via analog and digital signals from the RAMS-EC Controller or with RS485 from the RAMS-CC controller. The RAMS-AC is available in single port or dual port version. The RAMS-AC is designed, developed and manufactured locally and allows Tamashi to customiSe the RAMS-EC to specific requirements with ease.

APPLICATIONS

The RAMS-AC application would include switching the AC power on/off of an air conditioner. The control of the RAMS-AC is done from the RAMS-EC or RAMS-CC via RS485 or digital and analog inputs. Multiple RAMS-AC controllers can be connected to each other and thus enable multiple aircons to be switch on or off from a RAMS-EC or RAMS-CC. The RAMS-AC unit incorporates a failsafe feature for both relays/aircons allowing the user to independently set their fail states via easy to access jumpers. The RAMS AC has an under-voltage alarm thresholds setting via three position jumpers (110V, 187V & 150V). There is a safety default of 187V for jumper loss or removal.

 

 

ABOUT ABOUT GERM *(GENERAL EQUIPMENT SOFTWARE MANAGEMENT)

GERM is a single integrated software management platform, integrating multiple protocols, systems and applications, into a single management and operational user interface. This enables the user to seamlessly connect and manage intelligent assets on remote sites. GERM stores and displays all data retrieved remotely from assets at remote sites and allows the user to control and configure these assets remotely. The GERM Software Management system would be valued asset for companies seeking to connect, control and harvest real time data from different assets at remote sites.

GERM achieves this by means of integration to intelligent and remote connection to these assets, be it through GSM or TCP/IP. The RAMS-CC can be used as an onsite communication integrator to these remote assets by using RS232, RS485 and other protocols and push this data to GERM via a GSM or TCP/IP connection. The RAMS-CC essentially acts as a hub on the remote site, consolidating all communication to the assets on site and providing a remote connection for GERM to be able to harvest data and give the user the added functionality of control and real-time monitoring of these remote assts.

GERM uses various authentication avenues and is the manager of user access credentials for GERM User login, RAMS site controller/alarm panels, RAMS Access Control login and site access authentication via access card reader, keypad or wireless OTP. GERM and RAMS site controller/alarm panel Login levels of access would be, Administrator, Configurator or Viewer.

GERM Site Access Authentication would include schedules (Days of week, times in day), access zones (Yard or BTS, or Yard/BTS). Management of site access credentials, such as, creation of new users, deletion of lost user tags, changing of access to zones is done on GERM Software Management Platform. The access database is synced to all sites every 24 hours. Any ad-hoc changes are sync’d immediately to all sites.
